CCT Post (T&O)
During my military service, spanning over 15 years, I specialised in treating complex knee ligament injuries in military personnel, including paratroopers and special forces. This experience honed my skills in reconstructing sports-related knee injuries, such as those in football and rugby players, as well as knee trauma from skiing. My approach focuses on enabling patients to quickly return to their pre-injury level of activity. I also have a special interest in minimally invasive techniques for hip replacement. I am an expert in muscle-preserving procedures, offering numerous benefits for patients. I perform both the posterior SPAIRE technique and the renowned anterior minimal hip replacement (AMIS) approach. These methods provide patients with a faster recovery and smaller incisions, leading to an improved overall experience.
Throughout my extensive career as a senior army surgeon, I developed advanced trauma skills, handling complex cases such as gunshot wounds, motor vehicle accidents, and hundreds of sports-related knee injuries. My experience includes performing ligament reconstructions and thousands of keyhole meniscus repairs. Building on these skills, my role as an orthopedic consultant in the NHS has allowed me to expand my expertise further, particularly in minimally invasive hip replacements. As a result, my NHS trust has been recognised as a center of reference for the anterior hip replacement technique (AMIS).
As a physician, my ultimate goal is to provide my patients with the same level of care I would hope to receive in their place. To achieve this, I continuously refine my techniques, adopting new minimally invasive methods to deliver higher-quality outcomes and ensure patient satisfaction.
