I am a Consultant Vascular and Endovascular Surgeon at St George’s University Hospitals. I qualified from Cairo University Medical School in 1998 with Honors. I completed a research and Masters degree in Surgical Science in 2002. I finished an intense residency training programme at Cairo University Hospital in 2003. I started higher surgical training at Cairo University Hospital before moving to the UK in 2004. I performed further research at the University of Birmingham and undertook General and Vascular surgery training in London. I worked in all major vascular units in London during my training. I pursued further training in minimal invasive vascular procedures and spent two years of endovascular training as a Endovascular Fellow in Perth, Australia.

In addition to my post at St George's Hospital, I am an Honorary Consultant at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals and am the main vascular surgeon providing vascular services at St Helier Hospital.

My practice includes the management of varicose veins (surgical, ablation and injection), peripheral arterial disease (including diabetic foot), abdominal aortic aneurysm, carotid artery disease, thoracic outlet syndrome and Botox injection for axillary hyperhidrosis. My specialist interests include endovascular interventions (minimal invasive procedures) for aortic disease, peripheral arterial disease and varicose veins.

I have several publications in high impact vascular journals and have presented in national and international meetings. I am a reviewer for several vascular journals. I have presented in several national and international vascular surgery meetings and conferences.
