I graduated in Medicine from St John's College in India and completed my higher specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in India in 1999 and my Masters in Orthopaedics in 2000. I practiced as an Orthopaedic Surgeon in India with a primary focus on lower limb and trauma cases for three years before coming over to the UK.
I have extensive experience in lower limb reconstructive surgery and orthopaedic trauma. My clinical practice focuses on lower limb joint replacements, minimally invasive hip surgery, keyhole surgery of the hip, reconstructive surgery of fractures around existing hip replacements.
I undertook further specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedics in the North West and South East of England and worked under eminent lower limb reconstructive surgeons during this period. I completed my specialist training in 2010 and joined as a locum consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedics at East Surrey Hospital.
I currently have leading roles in the fracture neck of femur service and the trauma service within the Surrey and Sussex NHS Healthcare Trust. I am also a qualified educational supervisor, responsible for teaching and training junior doctors and orthopaedic trainees.
