I am a consultant adult and paediatric dermatologist and hold an NHS post at the King Edward VII Hospital in Windsor where I am the clinical lead for paediatric and adolescent dermatology.
I hold a first-class honours degree in genetics and ranked top of my year from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. I graduated in medicine from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne Medical School with the Goyder Memorial commendation in medicine and surgery. I am one of a handful of UK dermatologists who have been awarded the prestigious and highly competitive Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Fellowship. I also hold a PhD in skin sciences from the University of London and was the first National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) clinical lecturer in dermatology in London.
I am trained in dermatology at the world renowned St John's Institute of Dermatology based at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. I have had further training in paediatric and adolescent dermatology at the world famous Chicago Children's Memorial Hospital in the United States.
I have published over 50 peer-reviewed papers in high impact international journals including the New England Journal of Medicine, American Journal of Human Genetics, American Journal of Pathology, Trends in Molecular Medicine and the Journal of Investigative Dermatology.
I have presented at major international conferences and have been invited to give talks in the United States and Japan. I have received national and international prizes in dermatology including the Euroderm Excellence Prize, St John's Dermatological Society Registrar Prize, British Association of Dermatologists Registrar Prize, British Society for Investigative Dermatology Young Investigator Prize, British Society for Paediatric Dermatology Fellowship, Joint European Society for Dermatological Research/ Society for Investigative Dermatology Collegiality Award and Joint European Society for Dermatological Research/ Japanese Society for Investigative Dermatology Collegiality Award.
My aim is to provide a high-end individually tailored specialist dermatology service and accepts referrals from GPs, paediatricians and other doctors. I recommend a GP referral, but will see patients without one.
