I have been a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon since 2005, specialising in hip and knee surgery. I specialise in all aspects of hip and knee surgery, including arthroscopy of the hip and knee, sports injuries, ligament reconstruction, osteotomy around the knee, joint replacement of the hip and knee including customised, partial, total and revision joint replacement. I have a particular interest in biological reconstruction, cartilage repair and resurfacing. I also participated in the national MRC ACTIVE trial on cartilage resurfacing.
My NHS Consultant post is at Frimley Health Foundation Trust. I spent most of my postgraduate training at London teaching hospitals training under world renowned surgeons, as well as a specialist fellowship year in Sydney, and a final specialist training year at the hip and knee unit at The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore. After finishing my training in 2005 I was a Locum Consultant at the RNOH Stanmore, and subsequently at Imperial College Hospitals London, before my appointment to Frimley Park Hospital.
I have published and presented nationally and internationally. I have taught on RNOH Stanmore courses and to Imperial College medical students, as well as acting as an examiner.
I have also had the privilege of being a British Orthopaedic Association travelling fellow.
