My areas of expertise are general surgery and laparoscopic (keyhole) colorectal surgery. In the private sector I perform the same range of surgeries as on the NHS. I provide the latest and high-quality of care to my patients.
General surgical procedures: Laparoscopic and open hernia repair (including inguinal, femoral, para-umbilical and incisional hernias). Laparoscopic/open surgery for gallbladder disease. Management of abdominal emergencies including, appendicitis, diverticulitis, cholecystitis (gallbladder infection), pancreatitis, obstructed/strangulated hernias, gastrointestinal bleeding and bowel obstruction.
Colorectal procedures: Anal fissure/anal fistula, pilonidal sinus, haemorrhoids; stapled haemorrhoidectomy, HALO procedure, rectal prolapse surgery, rectocele repair, faecal incontinence, laparoscopic colorectal surgery, colitis (Crohns disease/ulcerative colitis), colon cancer, rectal cancer (sphincter preserving surgery and extralevator abdominoperineal resection and pelvic. reconstruction), diverticular disease, gastroscopy/colonoscopy/flexible sigmoidoscopy.
I am a highly trained General and Laparoscopic Colorectal Surgeon. I have been a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon at the Heatherwood and Wexham Park Hospital NHS Trust since 2010. My higher surgical training has been predominantly in the Mersey Region and the South West Region. Following completion of my surgical training, I spent 12 months doing an Advanced Colorectal Fellowship at the UCLH (London) and Guys and St Thomas' Hospital in London.

Colorectal cancer and inflammatory bowel disease. I was awarded MPhil for two years of molecular biology research in early cytogenetic changes and effects of bile acids in Barrett's oesophagus.

I enjoy spending time with my family. My wife is a Nurse Specialist in pain management and neuromodulation and my son is in secondary school. I love travelling and playing sports (cricket and hockey), cycling, running and listening to music. I am a keen artist and enjoy oil painting, sketching and working on computer graphics.
