I am a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon with an NHS and private practice in Berkshire, a leading authority in plastic surgery and a sought after public speaker. For my patients, my main assets are my approachable demeanour, my straightforward appraisal of the likely outcome of their surgery and my emphasis on safety.
I am a member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), am listed on the Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery by the General Medical Council (GMC) and have specialist recognition as a plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon by all major health insurers. I completed my medical degree at Oxford University, my plastic surgery training between Yorkshire and Australia and my cosmetic surgery training in London and New York.
My clinical and research interests include limb reconstruction, nerve regeneration and wound healing, for which I am frequently approached for advice by industry pioneers.
I have won numerous prizes for my work spanning diverse topics from medical science to trauma research. Examples include the BAPRAS Kay-Kilner Prize for Evidence-Based Plastic Surgery, the BAPRAS Barron Prize for advancing a painless suture removal technique for children, and the prestigious BAAPS Travelling Fellowship in Cosmetic Surgery.
I have published extensively in medical, scientific and plastic surgery journals over the last two decades and serve on the editorial board for two medical journals. I am the editor of the popular aesthetic textbook Evidence-Based Cosmetic Surgery.
