I have been a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon with a specialist interest in retina and vitreo-retinal diseases since 2003.
My special interests include: Vitreo-retinal surgery, treatment for age related macular degeneration, cataracts and refractive surgery, treatment of macular holes, epiretinal membrane surgery and treatment of retinal vein occlusion.
I graduated from Trinity Medical School, Dublin in 1991 with honours in surgery. I started my basic surgical training in ophthalmology in 1994 in the UK and completed my higher surgical training in ophthalmology on the West Midlands rotation. This was followed by two fellowships in vitreo-retinal surgery at Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre and the Oxford Eye Hospital and a Medical Retina at the Oxford Eye Hospital and Moorfield’s Eye Hospital in London.

I enjoy playing all sports but my passion is tennis. I love travelling and meeting people of all races and nationalities.
