I joined the team at Frimley Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (Parapet Breast Unit, Windsor) in December 2015 as Consultant Oncoplastic Breast and Reconstructive Surgeon and I am currently a Breast Surgical and MDT Lead.
I have performed over 3,000 breast cancer related surgical procedures and over 250 implant based reconstructive procedure following mastectomy (removal of breast) over the last 12 years.
Procedures I perform regularly in my NHS practice are as follows: sentinel axillary lymph node biopsies (Dual technique with OSNA) mastectomies, wide local excision breast lumps +/- wire guided, Level 1 and 2 oncoplastic breast procedure which involve glandular mobilisation, advancement flap, rotation flap or therapeutic mammoplasty, Level 3 axillary clearance, skin sparing or nipple sparing mastectomy with immediate implant or expander based reconstruction using ADM or Vicryl mesh, insertion and replacement of breast implants, liposuction and lipofilling, Mastopexies and breast reduction for symmetrisation, microdochectomy and sub areolar total duct excision, excision of mammary fistula, excision of accessory breast tissue, liposuction of gynaecomastia, nipple-areolar reconstruction or tattooing.
I attained MSc Honors in General Surgical Sciences from London University and completed higher surgical training in the UK. I have undertaken further training at Paris Breast Cancer in providing the most effective treatment for breast cancer, while minimising the impact on cosmetic and functional outcome.
I am the Breast and MDT lead at Parapet Breast Unit Windsor (Frimley Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust).
I have completed the ICS Frimley 2020 Leadership programme and I am actively involved in writing up guidelines, empowering various team members roles and responsibilities in order to achieve best patient outcome measures.
