BSc(Hons), MBBS, MD, FRCS
I am a General Surgeon specialising in colorectal diseases and disorders of the anal canal. Therefore I am free to see patients that have a variety of surgical problems such as hernias, change in bowel habit, rectal bleeding and faecal incontinence.
I started my training at St Mary's Medical School and have been trained at the laparoscopic centres of excellence at Frimley Park, Royal Surrey Guildford and St Thomas' Hospital. I did my research into MRI and low rectal cancer which was awarded an MD and started the Department of Health initiative 'Lorec' - a study to improve the outcome of patients with low rectal cancer.
I am an accredited endoscopist (OGD, colonoscopy and removal of polyps). My specialist training in pelvic floor dysfunction allows me to offer patients surgery for rectal prolapse and effective management of evacuatory disorders.
I believe that all my patients have the right to a high-quality, evidence based approach to their care (this is my philosophy).
