I am an experienced and highly qualified ENT Otology Consultant, specialising in ear disorders, hearing loss, and ear surgery. With a robust academic foundation, MI hold a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Material Engineering from the University of Nottingham and a medical degree (MBChB) from the University of Warwick. I am a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS) with a focus on Otolaryngology (ENT) and Head & Neck Surgery.
After my fellowship in ear implants, I took up my current consultant post at Wexham Park Hospital where I became the lead surgeon responsible for the otology service, clinical tutor overseeing the teaching of residents and medical students in all aspects of ENT.
I am passionate about providing patient-centred care, using innovative techniques such as endoscopic ear surgery and balloon eustachian tuboplasty, which enable faster recovery and more effective outcomes. My clinic offers a comprehensive range of treatments, including bone conduction hearing implants, local anaesthetic grommet insertion, and specialist paediatric otology services.

Research and publications
In addition to my clinical expertise, I am deeply involved in research and education. I am the Principal Investigator for the STARFISH NIHR UK-wide RCT on sudden sensorineural hearing loss at her NHS practice, and have led various projects aimed at improving patient outcomes in otology. I have published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and have presented my work at national and international conferences. I am also a dedicated educator, having organised and led numerous training courses for junior doctors and ENT specialists.
