Specialises in
I am a UK trained Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon. I take a holistic approach to patient care and will take the time needed to understand your problem and provide evidence-based treatment options.
I maximise non-surgical treatments. If surgery is recommended, I promote patient safety and minimises down time. For instance, most hand surgery is offered under local anaesthetic (Wide Awake Local Anaesthetic No Tourniquet, WALANT surgery).
I completed my medical training at the University of Cambridge and University of Oxford before completing a PhD at Imperial College London. My plastic surgery training was on the London rotation before undertaking an Extremity Reconstruction Fellowship (St Mary’s Hospital), Aesthetic Fellowship (Wellington Hospital) and National Hand Surgery Fellowship (Oxford). The latter included an ASSH International Visiting Fellowship to units in the USA.
I am a Visiting Professor, University of Surrey and Senior Research Fellow, University of Oxford. I conduct surgical trials in hand and plastic surgery and have a particular interest in osteoarthritis. Alongside being a Consultant Plastic Surgeon, I am also Director of Research and Innovation at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust.
