Virtual consultations:
I trained in the North East of England and Liverpool where I completed a masters degree in orthopaedic surgery. I currently lead the pelvic and acetabular reconstruction service in Sunderland, providing a surgical service for the management of this complex traumatic injury. My special interests are in hip replacement in the young. The youngest patient I have performed a hip replacement on was 11 and the oldest 99. I deal with failed hip replacements and their removal and reconstruction.
I have contributed to several publications and I am a chapter author of the Oxford Textbook of Orthopaedics (2011 edition). I run my private practice from Spire Washington Hospital and am available for choose and book appointments. I hold my outpatient clinics on Friday afternoons.
Some of the principal treatments carried out by Mr Ananda Nanu at Spire include:
Orthopaedics - hip and knee
COVID-19 testing or antibody tests are not available as a standalone service at Spire Washington Hospital.
