- Emma Brown is among the first ever recipients of the IRIS recognition award at Spire Healthcare
A physiotherapist from Spire Washington Hospital, Emma Brown is one of the first ever winners of the prestigious IRIS awards at Spire Healthcare.
The IRIS (Inclusive Recognition of Inspirational Staff) awards recognise extraordinary clinical colleagues who go above and beyond. Any patient or staff member can nominate someone for an award.
Emma was nominated for the prestigious award for her exceptional, compassionate patient care and for her commitment developing the respiratory training course, bettering knowledge, and patient outcomes.
Over 40 people from across the country were nominated for an award, and a cross-departmental panel selected the three winners. The scheme will run four times a year, with the next group of winners being chosen in the summer.
Richard Smith, Director of Clinical Services at Spire Washington Hospital, said: “I’m thrilled that Emma has been named as an IRIS award winner. Emma every day exemplifies the outstanding, compassionate care we strive to provide for our patients working tirelessly every day to make our patients’ experience of being in our hospital as comfortable as possible. Emma is an absolute credit to Spire; which shows in the outstanding patient feedback she receives’’.
