I have a broad experience in gastroenterology and endoscopy. I also have a sub-specialist interest in liver disease. Most procedures I perform are colonoscopy or gastroscopy at Spire Wellesley Hospital. I have performed over 10,000 gastroscopies and 10,000 colonoscopies over a 21 year period in the NHS and private practice.

I trained in medicine at the London Hospital, Whitechapel, qualifying in 1983. I then undertook general medical positions in London including St Mary's Hospital, before training in Gastroenterology. I was a Senior Registrar in West London before becoming a Consultant at Southend Hospital in 1994.

I was at the Institute of Liver Studies at King's College Hospital for more than four years, including research into liver disease (especially Paracetamol liver damage) and primary biliary cholangitis.

I am an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer in gastroenterology at Queen Mary College, London.

I welcome appropriate patients wishing to refer and pay for treatment themselves without the need for a GP letter of referral.

Feedback from my patients at Spire Wellesley Hospital:

'Excellent in every respect - need I say more.'

'My questions were answered directly inspiring me with confidence in the procedure I was about to experience. The results of the procedure were explained in detail which gave me great reassurance.'
