BSc(Hons) MBBS(Hons) MD FRCS(Plast)
I hold a substantive post as a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon at the world renowned St. Andrew’s Centre for Plastic Surgery and Burns, Chelmsford, Essex. I graduated from Imperial College School of Medicine, London in 2000 and have undertaken plastic and cosmetic surgery training in London, East Grinstead, Chelmsford, Liverpool, Birmingham, Australia and New York. In addition to completing my plastic surgery training in the UK, I have also completed accredited national and international fellowships in microvascular reconstruction as well as craniofacial surgery, all at world renowned centres of excellence.
I specialise in all aspects of cosmetic surgery, including the face and body. I use both surgical and non-surgical modalities of treatment to obtain a natural look. I take time to consider each patient's individual needs and give an honest assessment of what is realistic and achievable. In addition, I also perform many minor operative procedures including mole and cyst removal, as well as skin cancers. I am a core member of the Essex skin cancer multidisciplinary team.
I believe in patient-centric care and I tailor my advice accordingly. My experience in managing complex and high risk cases provides me with a unique insight into patient safety. Working as part of a team within a strict governance framework forms the bedrock of my practice.
I am listed on the General Medical Council Specialist Register for Plastic Surgery, a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, a member of the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons (BAPRAS) and also a member of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS).
Following my doctorate in medicine, for which I was awarded a Hunterian Professorship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, I have published several book chapters, numerous peer-reviewed publications and over 100 national and international presentations. I maintain a keen interest in training and education and I sit on the council of the plastic surgery section of the Royal Society of Medicine.
I am both a contributor and a Reviewer for the Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, as well as the Aesthetic Surgery Journal.
