FRCS (Tr&Orth)
I have a specialist interest in degenerative conditions of the spine, spinal deformity, trauma, infections and tumours of the spine.
I joined St Bartholomew's Hospital and the London Hospital to complete my medical qualifications in 1999. Following basic surgical training in London, I carried out my specialist registrar training in trauma and orthopaedics on the North East Thames (Royal London Rotation). Following the FRCS (Tr & Orth) exam, I undertook my spinal fellowship at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, where I gained an excellent surgical experience across the full range of spinal procedures. I practice at Southend University Hospital, where I am actively involved in the development and expansion of the spinal unit.
I have an academic interest, having published in peer review journals and presented at National and International meetings. I am actively involved in teaching medical students and junior doctors and am an author of a spinal chapter in an orthopaedic text book.
When seeing me, patients can expect to receive a careful assessment of their condition and guidance towards an optimal management plan tailored to each individual's needs. I welcome appropriate patients wishing to refer and pay for treatment themselves without the need for a GP's letter of referral. I am available for patient appointments at the Spire Wellesley Hospital on Wednesday afternoons and evenings and Friday evenings.

Outside of hospitals, I enjoy spending free time with my wife, son and daughter. I enjoy tennis, swimming, eating out with friends and try to attend the home games of my favourite Premier League team. I enjoy travelling with my family to discover new places and learn about different cultures.
