CAP Gold for Housekeeping at first attempt for Spire Wellesley Hospital

16 January 2020

The Spire Wellesley Hospital is proud to announce that we achieved the prestigious CAP Gold Award for housekeeping at our first assessment within the Continuous Advancement Programme. This is a rare achievement for a brand new CAP participant.

The unannounced assessment visit by the CAP inspection team took place on 22 October 2019. Hospital Director, Alison Green, is delighted for the housekeeping team and for the hospital: “The importance we place on the housekeeping service cannot be underestimated,” she says, adding: “My congratulations to all involved.”

CAP Chief Assessor, Ian Jackson, elaborated on the enthusiasm his inspection team encountered at the Spire Wellesley Hospital: “For a service that often just busies itself in the background, it was refreshing to see a housekeeping department that wanted to be tested. What a great attitude, and ultimately a great outcome.”
