I am a member of South Manchester Oncology MDT, and perform surgery for gynaecological cancer. I am also Trust Lead Clinician for Colposcopy at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Within the field of gynaecology, I specialise in urogynaecology and minimal access (laparoscopic) surgery. My clinical expertise covers the management of pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence as well as other gynaecological conditions such as pelvic pain, menstrual problems, endometriosis, fibroids, abnormal uterine bleeding, subfertility, menopause and postpartum problems. I also offer colposcopy for abnormal smears and pelvic ultrasound.
I joined Mid Cheshire Hospitals as a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist in 2018 and lead the Urogynaecology service. I graduated from the University of Liverpool Medical School in 2006. My training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology has been within the Mersey and North West of England rotations, where I have worked in many referral hospitals in the North West of England, leading to my Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in 2017. I was awarded the MRCOG in 2015 by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG).
I have completed advanced training in urogynaecology as a pelvic floor surgeon. I am also an accredited colposcopist with the British Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP). In addition, I have completed advanced training in Gynaecological Ultrasound to compliment my practice.
I hold the position as an Advisory Appointment Committee Assessor for the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG). In addition, I share an Educational Lead role at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to coordinate medical education for undergraduates within the specialty.
I have completed the Advanced Certificate in Clinical Education. I am also an Honorary Clinical Lecturer for the School of Medicine at the University of Liverpool, where I am actively involved in the training of undergraduates. I am also involved in training candidates for the MRCOG examinations and work with the RCOG to support this nationally.
