I specialise in gallbladder, hernia and weight loss surgery.
I am a highly experienced surgeon and I have won many national and international prizes for my work. I have a strong research profile and am heavily involved in teaching and training the next generation of surgeons.
I have recently been awarded a Visiting Professorship by the University of Chester. This prestigious award is in recognition my work for the Department of Clinical Sciences and Nutrition. I can be followed on Twitter (@mageefrcs).
I am the Royal College of Surgeons Surgical tutor for Wirral University Teaching Hospital. I am also the clinical governance lead and co-director of the research fellow programme. At a national level I sit on the BOMSS committee for training, education and research.
