I graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine with first class honours. I then obtained a post graduate Doctor of Medicine degree from Imperial College London focusing on both diagnostic tools for the early detection of Alzheimer’s disease and potential novel treatments. I worked as a Consultant Neurologist at Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals for 10 years.
In addition to working as a general neurologist, I have particularly supported motor neurone disease, multiple sclerosis and headache services including the establishment of a dedicated botulinum toxin injection clinic for the treatment of chronic migraines.
I also hold honorary Consultant Neurologist and Senior Lecturer positions at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and University College London, where I support the conduct of clinical trials looking for potential treatments for Alzheimer’s disease.

I very much enjoy year-round outdoor swimming in Brighton. I love travelling in search of the perfect beach. I enjoy learning foreign languages and I'm currently learning Spanish.
