MBBS, BSc, MRCP
I trained at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School, London, qualifying in 1997. I completed my Basic Medical Training at St George’s Hospital, London before going to the Royal Brompton Hospital.
My Cardiology Specialist training was in the South Thames region, completing my training at the Royal Sussex County Hospital, where I was appointed as Consultant Cardiologist in February 2010. I am the Trust Lead for Heart Failure and Pacing, in which she sub-specialises.
I have developed a holistic, multi-disciplinary approach to care, drawing upon the pharmacological, electrical and emotional support that is crucial to all patients, in particular heart failure patients. I believe I can offer this approach to the highest standard.
Working closely with specialist teams with respect to pharmacological management and device optimisation of heart failure patients, I have a particular interest in the implantation and optimization of pacemakers, especially Biventricular and Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator devices.
I have gained extensive experience in all aspects of cardiology, and am also accredited as a General Medical Physician.
My theoretical knowledge and clinical experience is maintained to a high standard through continuing professional development, as a result of attendance at regional, national and international meetings, as a delegate and faculty member.
