My clinical practice involves all aspects of infection including skin and soft tissue infection, bone and joint infection, chest and urinary tract infection, infections in the immunocompromised, TB and travel associated infection.
I studied medicine at the University of Dundee. Following completion of my general medical training, I undertook training in infectious diseases, medical microbiology and virology at the University Hospitals of Leicester.
I was first appointed as a consultant in microbiology and infectious disease in 2009 at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King's Lynn and Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge. I joined Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust in 2014 as a consultant in microbiology and infectious disease where I am also the clinical lead for OPAT (Outpatient Parenteral Antibiotic service).
