I am a specialist fellowship-trained Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon, specialising in the Shoulder, Elbow and Hand. I practice across Eastbourne and Hastings hospitals providing care for Sussex and specialise in the comprehensive management of all conditions affecting the upper limbs.
I have a first class honours BSc and two Masters degrees in the area of Orthopaedics. Originally qualifying from St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London Hospital in 2007, I underwent specialist training in the Wessex region.
Having been awarded the BESS travelling shoulder fellowship and the Watanabe Travelling fellowship, I was able to visit leading surgeons around the world developing an interest in Arthroscopic and Arthroplasty surgery. With international fellowships in France, Australia and the UK, I received extensive training in surgical best practice, while consistently keeping apace with the latest surgical techniques. Following a fellowship in Wrightington covering Shoulder, Elbow and Hands I was appointed a consultant at the unit.
After four years of consultancy at the unit the opportunity arose to move back to Sussex where I am originally from and my family are. I then took up a Consultancy at East Sussex Healthcare Trust. As a Consultant Orthopaedic Shoulder, Elbow and Hand Surgeon at East Sussex Healthcare Trust, I handle complex cases of the Upper Limb.
I have held committee positions in the European Shoulder and Elbow society and the British Hand society.
