I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with over 15 years of experience, specialising in lower limb arthroplasty surgery, including total hip replacement (THR), total knee replacement (TKR), and partial knee replacements (PKR). Having graduated in 1999 and completed my fellowship in 2014, I also have expertise in managing sports injuries.

I have an interest in joint preservation treatments for lower limb arthritis. Additionally, I collaborate with a multidisciplinary team at a regional centre to treat metastatic skeletal presentations, ensuring comprehensive and specialised patient care.

As a trauma and orthopaedic surgeon, I specialise in the full spectrum of trauma management, including sports injuries. My expertise in lower limb arthroplasty encompasses total hip replacement (THR), total knee replacement (TKR), and partial knee replacement (PKR), utilising advanced techniques for optimal recovery and implant longevity.

I also focus on joint preservation treatments for osteoarthritis, offering early interventions like arthroscopic procedures and regenerative therapies. In collaboration with regional centres, I treat metastatic skeletal presentations, ensuring comprehensive and coordinated care for patients with bone metastases.

In addition to my clinical commitments as a trauma and orthopaedic surgeon, I am actively involved in medical education and professional development. I serve as an educational supervisor for medical students, providing mentorship, guidance, and hands-on training to the next generation of doctors. This role allows me to share my expertise and passion for orthopaedics while fostering a supportive learning environment. Furthermore, I am an appraiser for the trust, responsible for evaluating the performance and development of fellow healthcare professionals. Through these activities, I contribute to the continuous improvement of medical practice and uphold the high standards of patient care within our institution.

In addition to my clinical and educational roles, I have a robust medicolegal practice focued on assessing and managing personal, work-related, and accident-related injuries. My expertise in trauma and orthopaedics enables me to provide comprehensive evaluations and detailed reports for legal proceedings, ensuring accurate and fair assessments.

I work closely with legal professionals to offer expert opinions on injury causation, treatment needs, and long-term prognosis. This aspect of my practice not only supports individuals in their recovery journey but also plays a crucial role in facilitating justice and appropriate compensation for those affected by injuries.
